Individual Counseling
Oxford students can access different resources for your mental health needs during your time on this campus.
Meeting with a counselor at Counseling and Career Services
To schedule an appointment with one of our counselors, simply call 770-784-8394 when you arrive to campus or stop by our office in the Murdy Breezeway.
Our hours are:
Monday - Friday
9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. (when classes are in session)
Closed noon to 1:00 p.m. for lunch.
TimelyCare: In addition to our office, you have access to TimelyCare tele-mental-health services, at no additional cost when you enroll using your Emory email, which includes
- Scheduled Counseling for more ongoing counseling sessions
- TalkNow (available 24/7) for students just needing some support more immediately and want someone to talk through a difficult moment.
- Psychiatry Services for students who are currently taking medication for mental health concerns or who would like to explore this as among your options to address your needs (a referral is required by one of the CCW clinicians to access this service).
Emory ThrivingCampus helps you identify off-campus providers in the ATL area in the private practice sector, many of which accept the Emory Student Health Insurance and provide telehealth services you can access from the Oxford campus or wherever you are in Georgia!

Counseling is a collaborative process which is supported by the unique, confidential, helping relationship that develops between the counselor and the client. In this relationship, the counselor acts as a facilitator in helping the client achieve either greater self-understanding and/or find solutions to the problems the client hopes to resolve.
Our office is located in the same suite as Student Health Services. We're in the breezeway that extends from Moore Street to the wooded area behind Murdy and Elizer.
9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. (when classes are in session) Closed noon to 1:00 p.m. for lunch.
