In Urgent Situations

If you're experiencing a mental health emergency and our office is closed, please call Emory Police at Oxford, 770-784-8377, and ask to speak with the RLC on call.

If it's during regular business hours (Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to noon and 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.) and you are experiencing a mental health crisis, you can be seen for a triage appointment in our office.  If possible, call the office and ask for an urgent appointment.  You can also come by the office and inform the receptionist that you need to be seen for triage appointment.

For After Hours/Weekend Non-Urgent Mental Health Concerns

Contact Emory HelpLine, 404-727-4357 (HELP). The HelpLine is an anonymous, peer counseling telephone service that is open 8:30 p.m.-1:00 a.m., 7 days per week. The Line is open during the regular academic year and closes for all major student holidays.

In addition to our office, you have access to TimelyCare tele-mental-health services, at no additional cost when you enroll using your Emory email, which includes TalkNow (available 24/7) for students just needing some support more immediately and want someone to talk through a difficult moment (not the same counselor each time you call).  Click here for more information.
