Mission Statement

The mission for the Center for Counseling and Wellbeing is to provide quality services that address personal, relational, vocational, and mental health needs of Oxford College students, promoting campus-wide positive student development and mental wellbeing.

Through counseling and outreach modalities, the CCW helps students confront or navigate challenges to their well-being or overall development, providing high quality services informed by values of social justice and explicit respect for all.

Our High Priority Goals

  • Engage in collaboration and consultation with campus partners, extending the expertise of this department toward an integrative approach to promoting positive student personal and professional development.
  • Partner with student leaders toward promoting a campus culture that confronts toxic norms and embraces a community mindset in pursuing life goals and navigating life challenges.
  • Provide quality counseling services to students who are faced with challenges to their mental health, social functioning, and/or academic engagement.
